Roots Cafe

  • Located at the largest public housing community in the State of Hawai'i
  • In 2017: Hosted 456 volunteers, primarily housing youth
  • Two acres of cultivars reclaimed from invasive forest cover
  • In 2017: Harvested and distributed over 8,000 lbs of produce
  • In 2017: Hosted 1,727 volunteers at at community workdays
  • Operates out of the KKV Health Center
  • Partnered with 18 local farms for seasonal, sustainable ingredients
  • Serves our patients, friends, and neighbors 'ono 'ai pono for $8 a plate

  • Partnered with Roots since 2011 to host an EBT access booth
